The Carolina Hurricanes have teamed up with Fanatics Betting and Gaming.
In anticipation of North Carolina's planned regulation of online sports betting, the Fanatics Holdings subsidiary will join forces with the team as an Official Sports Betting Partner.
Currently, the timeline calls for the debut of online sports betting in March 2024, after a hectic winter for the regulators in determining possible launch dates.
This followed remarks by North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper, who had previously said that the goal was to go live during the NCAA March Madness basketball tournament.
The Hurricanes are really excited to have Fanatics on board as their official sports betting partner, according to Hurricanes President and General Manager Don Waddell.
"Fanatics Sportsbook will bring a user-friendly experience for North Carolinians to wager on sports responsibly, and we're proud to partner with them on this endeavour."
North Carolina fans can also visit the retail sportsbook at PNC Arena, in addition to the online platforms and applications.
Fanatics Betting and Gaming will have their brand showcased across the Arena, including in-arena signage and broadcast integrations, as an Official Sports Betting Partner.
